Obama Vs. Obama

This pretty much summarizes BO's message patterns. Flip-flop, dishonesty per se.

Anyone who holds this thug in even moderate esteem is naive

Obama vs. Obama

April 13, 2011 10:28 P.M.

By Victor Davis Hanson

The president gave the sort of scare speech he not long ago warned against, and blasted the income-tax rates he not long ago agreed were necessary — in a context in which he has just presented a budget with a $1.6 trillion deficit of the sort he now says is unsustainable, and has warned about recklessly voting against raising the debt ceiling in a fashion that he himself had once done, in a larger landscape in which he had once damned attacking Middle East countries in optional wars, Guantanamo, renditions, tribunals, preventative detention, intercepts, wiretaps, Predators, and leaving troops in Iraq, and then embraced or expanded all that and more (this list is infinite and includes everything from drilling to campaign financing to earmarks).

These weird about-faces raise interesting questions that transcend the current politics of the deficit:

a) Has Obama in his past careers never been called to account and so reached a point where simply being Obama means that we are not supposed to apply standards of accuracy, memory, and consistency to him in the way we do to all others?

B) Or does an absent-minded Obama carelessly make up things up ad hoc as he goes along, forgetting what he said earlier, but secure that his hope-and-change delivery of the moment will so mesmerize the audience that no one will remember or care if at times he ends up saying exactly the opposite of what he had said earlier?

c) Or is he so blatantly partisan a politician that he has no principles at all and knowingly says things that are aimed at appealing to 51 percent of the public at any given moment, and therefore will always change with public opinion?

d) Or is he so cynical that he understands campaign rhetoric has nothing to do with actual governance, and so he is allowed to say something that he knows in advance that he is not bound to follow?

e) Or is he so bored with the trying job that he feels no responsibility to offer reliable, consistent governance, and so rashly throws things out and then hastens back to the more enjoyable PR aspects of the office?

All of the above.

I remember seeing some of his election speeches, with the cheer-leaders all raising the roof, and thinking 'This guy cannot fulfil any of these promises, there's no other politician in America that thinks this can (or should) be done'.

What about the State governments? Do they run deficits in the way that the national government does?

So how's that CHANGE working for ya now? Change, indeed. From the beginning, he's been a clear member of the old rule corporate-military establishment. What gave anyone any idea from the start that he wasn't? Because the "bandwagon" said so....??

I remember a few years ago seeing this & thinking.....yep

At last, it appears some of us have found a common enemy.

Somewhere on this forum is what I said in 2008, during the campaign...Obama is nothing more than a sleazy politician from the sewers of Chicago politics.

This pretty much might describe the American population and how easily they will get caught up in the fashionable drone-like hypnosis. The controllers did there job, nonetheless. In slight defense of the American people and the heavy negativism portrayed by the over zealot campaign - Americans have a history of seeking hope and alternatives as such applies to elected officials. At any level, there is always a promoted candidate that is dreamingly alternative and champions change....Presidents, Congressmen, Governors, Mayors, etc, etc, etc. The system is designed to disallow any such purposeful "change" for the society at large. Certainly at the federal level of American elected officials, those players whom seem to represent an alternative are almost always wolves in sheep's clothing, as the ruling controllers will not allow such odds to dominate the conventional status quo. As Obama is viewd, one doesn't have to be too terribly observant to notice that he {and his circle} has been handed the baton and continues on the same old path.

Obama is very intelligent.

Intelligence, perhaps. But the direction in which he {et al} directs such intelligence. He his smart enough not to buck the system.....and those corporadoes for whom he works for.

Exactly & a very good description...

Those who designed his campaign picked perfect & almost hypnotic catch phrases like Hope & Change or Yes We Can

They ran the game of hope at a time when folks needed it most & they nearly all bit it hook, line & sinker.

But by the same token those that woke up since are more upset than any other time I can remember in my adult life.

At last, it appears some of us have found a common enemy.

He still beats the hell out of the VIT, Palin, and, (God forbid), Trump.

Obama is very intelligent.

You are right, he is.

Certainly more intelligent than the women of The View.....and definitely more intelligent than Bush, despite the cheap comparison made by one of those women.

Yeah, Obama is so brilliant he isn't allowed to speak in public without a teleprompter. Sure, he's a bright, clean, nice-looking, articulate black guy straight out of a storybook but why isn't he allowed to speak even to a class of 6th graders without a teleprompter? Why? Because he just isn't all that bright outside a classroom.

Really? Are you sure?

I watched him give his budget-promoting speech a couple of days ago...I couldn't detect a teleprompter...and it was a long speech.

last time they unleashed him on the public without a teleprompter he told us all about the 57 states he campaigned in.

perhaps the teleprompter truck got sidetracked in one of them?

Obama's teleprompter is nothing but a dirty republican fairy tale. correct is that Bush jr. couldn't form a single meaningful sentence containing more than a dozen words without being assisted. the latter not achieved by a teleprompter (his dyslexia made that impossible) but with a gadget like a hearing aid.

considering that he blamed his own teleprompter for some of his foot in mouth moments, it's safe to say the only fairy tale here is hope and change.

No he certainly does not.

As I said numerous times during his campaigning, look at the people with whom he associates. Bill Ayers, who he initially denied knowing and now it appears actually authored the book for which BO took credit, the honorable Rev. Wright (hate monger to the max), both of whom he dropped as soon as his need for them ran out. Then his swift appointment of Van Jones in order to avoid the vetting process, another degenerate who had to resign as the White House’s environmental jobs “czar” after his hatred was exposed.

I use to think that Jimmy Carter was the worst president, but BO has far far surpassed Carter's incompetence. Remember Jimmy's brother's close association with Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi? What a pack of lowlifes, and yet the liberals whine about Palin.

This is Obama when he REALLY doesn't have a teleprompter.

and here:

Really? Are you sure?

Actually yes he had two teleprompters for that speech. One left & one right of center.

They are clear screens from the audience side of view. They do try to keep them out of the camera angle these days which is why you also never see the audience anymore. If by chance you see any re-runs of that speech or for that matter any future ones watch as he pauses while panning left & right constantly to pre-read a few lines.

Your right though it was a long speech. He has gotten or I should say his speech writers have gotten that fear thing going pretty well.

In another speech a few days later regarding the soon to be decided raising of the debt ceiling

I noticed what he harped on most .......

He went straight after Social Security & Medicare

Funny eh? I mean the things that are supposedly already paid for are the things he mentioned would be cut first & of course raising of taxes.

Yet without the jobs he promised & which are not coming anytime soon....raising taxes will be like trying to fill a balloon that has holes in it.

Never once did he mention cutting back on the empty suits in Washington or defense budget cuts or many other things that should be cut well before the things that have already been paid into for decades by those now receiving them...Social Security & Medicare

Of course I am not naive & know that the money they paid in for decades is well spent before their turn to collect but still....It should not be the first line of threat when so many more dollars are constantly wasted.

Joe Biden thought the speech ran long too. ;)

Does he really? As they are pretty much cut from the same cloth - of course, we're not suppose to see this from the surface. As American foreign policy is concerned, one truly couldn't see much difference from Obama and the freak from Crawford, Texas.

The bottom line towards reality would suggest that any true alternative counter-establishment Presidential candidate will never be allow to rise. Same as it ever was. and always will be.

in fact, you won't need many brushes to paint this presidency. the similarities are remarkable.

This is Obama when he REALLY doesn't have a teleprompter.

and here:

The first video reminds me of the sad days of trying to listen to Bush. Maybe there is something in their shared East Anglia DNA that makes them get tongue-tied.

The second video is funny but it is supposed to be because it is from The Onion. :)

Can our beloved Obama now be considered a terrorist as well?

I mean threatening the world economy going back into some serious problems if the US credit limit is not increased.

That's a serious threat he makes there and on par what this fecker Paulson did a few years ago saying there would be tanks on the street and martial law implemented if he did not get what he wanted. I think we all know now that was a big fat lie as well.

The moment he was in the picture I was saying the guy was just a nice smooth looking guy and (his marketing team) played the feelings of not only US citizens that believe there is something terribly wrong with the place we are living and many decisions our governments and leaders make for us peasants.

But hey, when I said that, I was told I was a racist (more or less)and that reaction reminded me a bit of when previously I was called an Anti Semite (not here) when asking some questions related to the actions taken by those that feel they are the chosen ones.

After I was called a racist I changed my Thai Visa signature, sort of a silent protest....

I remember Naam being positive (if that's the right word)about Obama being chosen the new president but not sure if he believed it was the less evil choice. Sure we will never know what would have happened when Mc Cain would have been chosen but that guy made a funny joke about bombing Iran, at least he thought that was funny of course the audience was laughing as well, you don't let an ex Vietnam (tortured)prisoner of war loose face, or did they as well think it was funny?

Throughout the world this funny game is played creating two camps so the peasants can have their daily arguments and never see the real picture of why things will not really change, just minor adjustments to the chosen strategy in order to implement the elites plan faster and more effective.

Just like the recent events in Libya, where the dear leader suddenly decided that humanitarian aid must be provided to protect the people against this evil dictator that was shooting at his "own people" and the best way to do that was to have a no fly zone. But now the evil dictator after what was it 40 years of brutal rule must be removed as well and no worries we know he will go as the rebels another word for insurgents depending from what side you look at them have already organized for a new central bank to be opened so that the new national oil company which they created as well can do business and who knows what else it is used for. What a freaking joke this whole event is.

Lucky for him he could fool the US voters that it would all be handed over to NATO, suggesting it would now be those Europeans in charge.

I just wonder how a US people violent uprise would be handled once they fully understand that they are shafted big time by this and previous clowns and go on the streets by the thousands or better millions and demand he has to go.

I guess these people could then be considered domestic terrorist under the new rules, you see nothing ever really changes, just perfecting the policies in order to prepare for what has been planned a long time ago.

But I am almost sure Obama will collect record donations to fund his campaign for re election selling his hope and change once again to the sheeple that favored him previously by convincing them he is now the best choice to finish a job he started and it would not be fair to let someone else do it and get the rewards for the changes he initiated.

This would all be really funny if it wasn't true.

:bah:

As I said numerous times during his campaigning, look at the people with whom he associates. Bill Ayers, who he initially denied knowing and now it appears actually authored the book for which BO took credit, ...

I am not a fan of Obama and the biggest problem is that some of his opponents discredit themselves with such false and dumb statements. Doing this they tarnish valid criticism and actually help the Obama.

A lot of jet fighter pilots are dyslexic I guess. Or was it late onset dyslexia?

The bottom line towards reality would suggest that any true alternative counter-establishment Presidential candidate will never be allow to rise. Same as it ever was. and always will be.

Agree with the the part that there is a lack of a true alternative and not much difference between Obama and all other options. Same as it ever was.

Not sure what you wanna hint with "will never be allow". Are you suggesting that there is a force that hides in the background and consciously controls the whole thing?

I have to agree. Who is it?

The Illuminati.
