whats the best place to buy car accessoires ? just any Carrefour or Big C and check the car section there ? I did that but the variety of things was not really huge ..... are there any specialized shops for that ?

its a big modern showroom and fitting area , not far from the sony offices , but on the other side of the road.

an extensive range of add on items and electrical accessories . they fit them for you there and then too.

or , try the KHLONG TOM MARKET , near yaowarat. they have a "panthip plaza" for car accessories there , dozens upon dozens of shops selling new and second hand bits and pieces.

if you need a switch for the rear offside electric window your 1974 toyota crown or a new speedometer needle etc. then thats the place to go looking for it.

tools , seats , exhausts , steering wheels , dashboard gizmos to entertain you as you sit in traffic jams , etc.

lots of new accessories and custom grilles and bumpers and in car tv systems and all kinds of re upholstering shops etc. cheaper than the high street fitting shops too.

its a petrolhead heaven .......

but dont ask me how to get there though. its near yaowarat is the best i can do.

For 4x4 accessories and add ons take a drive around Sri-Nakarin Road, loads of places there.

AUTOBACS at west Narathiwat Rd. near Sathorn Rd and Chononsri BTS station or the newly opened Pattanakarn branch. A lot of accessories they sell come from Japan and therefore rather expensive though. Also Suan Luang market around Pathumwan police station and Pathumwan district office, near Banthat Thong Rd and Rama 4 Rd intersection. Not sure if it's the same place taxexile is talking about though.

No way, Toyota stuff is a rip off, check out the shop on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 103 and Sri-Nakarin, they've got everything you can think of, and dirt cheap. Good quality too.

Chula soi 32 if you want high-performance junk.
