I am leaving for the UK on Sunday night at 23.00 hrs and need to get a re-entry permit to keep my "O" visa extention "alive".

Does anyone know if I can I get a re-entry permit at the airport on a sunday evening, or will the Immigration office be closed?

Your comments and advice would be appreciated.

Airport immigration is always open but during slow hours an officer may have to be found or awakened from reports. Remember that you first have to check in and receive your boarding pass before you can obtain a re-entry permit at the airport. Many of us prefer the less stressful trip to immigration prior to travel to obtain if we are near an office. If you get at airport remember to check in early.

Thanks for the prompt replies.

I don't have time for a trip to Imigration before the weekend so will have to take "pot luck" over the stress issue of dragging an Imigration officer away from his/her food or some other essential on duty activity!

It's no problem, they are open 24/7, but arrive at the airport an extra hour early. It normally takes only 15-20 minutes to get the re-entry. Single entry 1,000 Baht, multiple 3,800 Baht.

Do we still need to prepare 1 or 2 ID fotos and copies of the passsport in addition to the form and the passport ?

Thanks
