Has anyone noticed a slowdown on TOT internet in Bangkok or elsewhere recently ?

This appears to have started yesterday for me. Using the 'Internet Download Manager' which makes multiple connections to an http server it could previously download a file at around 900 KB/s, since yesterday I've only been getting speeds of between 50 and 90 KB/s using the same method.

I've seen a sudden change of speed like this only once before and it was in the UK when my ISP told me I'd downloaded more than 'unlimited' in the previous month.

I'm in western Bangkok on the TOT 6Mb plan. Download a file today form he U.S. using a download manager and got around 400KB/s (or 3.2Mb/s). And general internet browsing and email downloads/uploads remains fairly fast for me. Your problem may be a local TOT issue or the server you were downloading from. No shortage of possibilities.

I am in Ubon on 3bb 8mb and at the moment and using a download manager i am downloading at 150-200kbps. My normal download speed is 950kbps.

I was told by 3bb that I download too much and that is why they cut my speed.

I use true and I also see slowdown. Also I have never had admissionfrom the internet staff that there are any problems. Seems they are told todeny any issue about themselves

On TOT in Nonthaburi, and I have also noticed a slowdown. Using the 9mb package but a quick speed test last night showed I was only getting 4 mb.

Like you, I live in Nonthaburi and it has been bad recently, not only slow but off for periods. At the present time it's working..I'm on the 4MB package, I down graded from the 6MB one, after been on it for a few days, as it was slow! This on the suggestion of the guy who runs our area.

I have just got on the TV Speed Test 4.3 Down and 0.37 UP and on totisp.net 4.37 Down and 0.49 Up so it's OK at present and I'm reasonably happy again.

The speed from Bangkok to my servers has now returned to normal after two days.

I don't believe it after 4 frustrating weeks I am back to full speed this morning.
