Phuket Red Cross launches June blood drive

THEY WANT YOUR BLOOD: Phuket Red Cross workers at a mobile donation clinic.

PHUKET: -- The Phuket Chapter of the Thai Red Cross Society has announced its schedule for its June 2011 blood drive.

“Blood types A+ and O+ are needed. Our stock of these two types is depleted. However, every blood type is welcome,” said Suphawan Rattanachan, an officer with the Phuket Red Cross.

Mobile donation clinics will be set up as follows.

June 2, 9am-3pm: Phuket Vocational College, Phuket Town

June 3, 8:30am-2pm: Satree Phuket School, Phuket Town

June 14, 8:30am-8pm: Phuket Regional Blood Center, Saphan Hin

June 17, 9am-3pm: British International School, Koh Kaew

June 18, 10am-3pm: Duangjitt Resort, Patong

June 20, 10am-4pm: Phuket Rajabhat University, Rassada

June 22, Noon-6pm: Central Festival Phuket, Wichit

June 23, 10am-3pm: Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus, Kathu

June 24, 10am-3 pm: Labor Court Region 8, Phuket Town

June 26, 2pm-7pm: Big C, Wichit

June 28, 1pm-4pm: Mercure Patong Phuket; and at Centara Karon Resort Phuket
