Selling My Car In Pattaya

I just sold my car and the buyer says the motor vehicle department near Pattaya asked for a residence certificate when he went down to try to transfer the car. However, if I recall correctly, when I bought the car my work permit was accepted in lieu of a residence certificate. Does anyone have any recent experience with this? Can I just make copies of my work permit and give them to the guy? Thanks in advance for any help.

Buying/selling car requires work permit or residence certificate. Either one will do. As long as the work permit is valid or not expired you dont need residence cert

When I sold my car neither was asked for.

I just signed the blue book.

The buyer needs the residence certificate or WP to register the car in their name if he is a Farang.
