SamuiRes Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 'Tis Calgary Here's another, a truly lovely place which I enjoyed very much A tough one this. Modern city with an older quarter. Buildings in the forground suggest European, probably southern?
Florin Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 No, far, far from the geographical truth...but close with the cultural idea
SamuiRes Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 No... It's got me beat at the moment. If it is still there in the morning I'll have another think.
lamphun Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Everyone is wearing coats, there's a sign saying "PICCI" and the architecture looks very chaotic. No idea.
Florin Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 OK, here's a clue...the city is indeed very influenced by a certain South European country, but is very far from both Southern Europe and places like La Paz or Buenos Aires...it is very far from there, but not too far from here
Florin Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Nope, you guys are still thinking of the wrong colonial powers
Florin Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Yep, that's the one I try to promote this destination to everyone I know, it's a spectacular little piece of old Europe in Asia.
Neeranam Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 Caracas - leaving the name of the hotel on the pic was a great help! Yeah, well done. I couldn't see any name on the hotel!

Musophobia Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Not Canberra, Honaria or even Hamilton Island. (Remember it's the capital of a country)When I said SR had the right idea I was referring to his first sentence, not neccesarily the rest of his guess. Hamilton is the Capital of Bermuda. Victoria, Seyechells Yeeees! How did you get it? Your turn to post Neeranam. Canberra is the Capital of Australia.

Hamilton ISLAND is a tourist resort off the Queensland coast and Canberra is the capital of my country. I have visited both many times. Perhaps you should learn the difference between an island and a city.
Old Croc Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 In the same vein another capital city Monte Carlo
lamphun Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Okay that was too easy with all the hi rollers on this forum.

Ive stood on the end of that breakwater and my lady was flashed by a masterbating frenchman just to the left of there. I couldn't catch him else the harbour may have been stained red.
Old Croc Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Cairns I guess mine was a bit easy too Every one should visit Cairns. A special place.
