OK, here's a clue...the city is indeed very influenced by a certain South European country, but is very far from both Southern Europe and places like La Paz or Buenos Aires...it is very far from there, but not too far from here

Thanks for the geography lesson Musophobia. Hamilton ISLAND is a tourist resort off the Queensland coast and Canberra is the capital of my country. I have visited both many times. Perhaps you should learn the difference between an island and a city.
