PSA high but steady.... don't panic!
I'm in Thailand right now, but going back to Myanmar in a week or so. Therefore, I decided to have a PSA and urine culture test. I post these results to demonstrate that a high PSA number doesn't always mean that you have prostate cancer, although any increasing value or value above the norm needs to be investigated. Here are my PSA numbers tested in the same lab since 2022. October 2022 = 11.234 H ng/mL September 2023 = 11.313 June 2024 = 8.927 February 2025 = 10.702 The October 2022 number prompted me to have a prostate MRI and then a 24-sample biopsy, to identify the cause of this high value. 2 benign prostate stones and a lot of ESBL (resistant to antibiotics) E.Coli bacteria were found, but no cancer cells. Since 2022, the E.Coli UTI has been present throughout, and this, plus my mild BPH, plus the calcium stones, all result in what could be an alarmingly high PSA number. However, you can see that the PSA number does not have an increasing trend, but fluctuates around a value of 11. The UTI doesn't cause me too much discomfort. I have previously discussed on this forum about getting the UTI treated with suitable (expensive) drugs, but unless there is a serious medical reason to do this, I guess I'll 'hang fire' on that 🙂 -

Donald......and the rest of the world.
You are right. However, once the Europeans and Canadians start avoiding US products and traveling to the USA, it will impact the US economy and US citizens will get a jolt. Australia entered into the purchase when the USA was a reliable ally and its signature on a treaty or trade agreement could be respected. As the US attempt to bully Canada and to annex Greenland demonstrates, the USA can no longer be trusted and is not a reliable ally. Do not be surprised if Australia withdraws from the purchase agreement. Canada is shopping for new submarines too and Australia helps train Canadian submarine personnel. The two them might revisit the Europeans to source the new submarines. How incredibly arrogant. The USA did not enter WWII until Pearl Harbor and even then it took months to undertake direct action against Germany in November 1942. Until that time, the UK may have been on life support, but Canada was arguably the saviour of Europe. Canada and Newfoundland had 1 million people in uniform. It was Canadian munitions and food that sustained the UK for years, sent on European and Canadian ships protected by the 4th largest navy, the Royal Canadian Navy. Norwegian and Danish merchantmen were putting their lives at risk for freedom years before the USA joined the fight. Commonwealth nations Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Rhodesia contributed significant amounts of manpower and resources too. Commonwealth air crews were flying back to back sorties in bad weather and thick anti aircraft blankets over Germany in RAF and RCAF aircraft while US servicemen were complaining about the travails of basic training in sunny Miami. The USA entered the war because of Pearl Harbor and was content to bleed the British dry with lend lease and to watch the world disintegrate in hopes that it could one day dominate. Trump has picked a fight with the very nations that the USA needs and will need. the wake up call to the USA is on the way. -

Fugitive Arrested at Border Petrol Station After Setting Watermelon Vendor on Fire
Picture of arrest. Police have captured a fugitive known as “Ploen,” who was wanted for dousing a watermelon vendor in petrol and setting him alight at a temple in the Rama III area. The suspect was apprehended at a border petrol station in Mukdahan while attempting to flee the country with a smuggling gang. The shocking incident, which took place at a temple in Rama III, left 52-year-old fruit vendor Rachen with severe burns covering over 80% of his body. He was rushed to Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries. Following an intense manhunt, police from Mukdahan Provincial Police, led by Pol. Col. Pairoj Thaiphutra, acting commander of Mukdahan Provincial Police, tracked down and arrested the suspect at approximately 20:30 on February 11. The fugitive, identified as 46-year-old Akkakorn, also known as “Ploen,” was the ex-husband of the victim’s wife. Police officers, acting on intelligence, found the suspect at a PTT petrol station in Kham Ahuan, Mueang Mukdahan district. He was preparing to cross the border with a group involved in smuggling contraband onions. Upon arrest, Akkakorn confessed to his crimes without resistance and confirmed his identity as the suspect sought in the high-profile case. He has since been taken into custody at Mueang Mukdahan Police Station and will be transferred to Bang Phongphang Police Station, which is handling the case, for further legal proceedings. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading to the brutal attack and are working to determine whether others were involved in aiding the suspect’s escape attempt. Is Trump Just a Straw Man Grasping at the Last Straw?
The second to the last straw? Low flow no more? Trump to roll back rules on toilets, showers and lightbulbs. Plastic straws, high flow toilets and incandescent light bulbs could make comebacks as President Donald Trump works to end previous environmental standards. Trump called for "common sense standards on LIGHTBULBS" on his social media platform Truth Social on Tuesday, and said he was instructing Environmental Protection Agency Secretary Lee Zeldin to immediately change the requirements. The same posting called for new standards pertaining to showers, toilets, washing machines and dishwashers. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2025/02/11/trump-to-roll-back-green-standards-for-toilets-lightbulbs/78415921007/ -

Appointment Landed on a Public Holiday
Officers are usually pretty good about those "under consideration" stamps and will space them out so they don't hit a holiday 😮 Never the less as people advised just show up at Chaengwattana tomorrow get a queue for section L-2 (the section that "closes out" under consideration stamps based on marriage to a thai) and they'll in the year extension into your passport without much problem Personally I would show up after about 9am that way you let the "zombie horde" 😮 that waits in front of the door for them to open at 8:30 get in, get their queues and get to their sections.
