Neck Problem

I'd go to Phyathai hospital in Sriracha. Get an appointment with Dr. Montien Sirisuntornlak, their Orthopedic Specialist.

After initially having seen an orthopedist at BPH, I consulted Dr. Montien for a second opinion, and was very happy I did so.

I've been seeing an orthopaedic surgeon at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya since 2005 and he is excellent. He's fixed my gouty arthritis so that I can breeze along again - before I saw him it was too painful for me to even walk from Royal Garden to Walking Street. Then I got a carpal tunnel problem, which he diagnosed correctly and then operated on to free the trapped median nerve (cost of the operation was around 10 K Baht). I see him at least twice a year and, including a blood sample for uric acid level monitoring, the bill is never more than 1000 Baht. I couldn't recommend this doctor too strongly, he is great. His name is Dr. Tongsuk. He doesn't work on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Research on the internet.what is the problem.Pain in the neck? Down the arm?

I did research, had x-rays taken and consulted with GP who recommended I see a specialist. The condition is called something like cervical spindyolosis, a narrowing of discs. The pain radiates from the lower neck to the upper back. First I thought its a problem with the Trapezius muscle, which it isnt. Funny enough, the pain is sporadic and only comes when sitting down. Could live with it but better have it checked out, one doesnt fool with spinal issues.

Hello,

Have you ever considered conservative treatment like Acupuncture?

Acupuncture (also scraping) is used widely in treating CS problem. It can relieve the nerve pain a lot by right stimulation to strengthen Blood and Qi flow, although it can't increase the space between discs.
