Highways Bypassing Bkk

Featured Replies

Hello all, living in Chiang Mai and spending a lot of time riding with my friends the topic of riding to Pattaya or Hua Hin comes up often. The first question is how to get past Bangkok without getting on a prohibited road or flyover. Does anyone have a .gpx (Garmin GPS) route(s) they would be willing to share with up country boys? Thanks.

for Hua hin from Cm you do not need to go anywhere near BKK. and depends on how far around Bkk you want to go for Patters you could go through kho yai national park (not sure of spelling)

Going to Hua Hin,, which road bypasses Bangkok? Nakon Pathom area?

Rustic. many roads bypass Bangkok if your coming from CM. and yes some go through Nakhon Pathom.

Okay.

So what you riding now?

Well i rode me GF last night.. not that it's any of ya business :D

In between motorcycles at the moment but going to get a little Cbr250r about October/November for scooting around. B)

I live in Loei province and often go down to Jomtien I prefer to bypass Bangkok and have been taking highway 304 through the mountains. Coming from Chiang Mai, I would take 11 down to 12 and 12 to 201. 201 to 24 then 24 to 304. It would be a long ride but quite scenic on decent but curvy roads. Take 304 to 331 to 7 and come out mid Pattaya junction 7 and 3. I think it is about a thousand kilometers.
