Anyone familiar with these? On the North side of town, near MFL University. BTW, is that the same as Chiang Rai University? I'm not that picky--just don't like rats or soi dogs, and like to be near some good action like cheap food and drink. Any clues? Thanks to everyone. :jap:

I don't know about the apartments also, but to answer your other question. Chiang Rai (Rajabhat) University and Mae Fah Luang University are seperate establishments and are several kilometres apart albiet on the same road. Mae Fah Luang University is the farthest from town.

Unless you have transportation, CRU and Me Fa Luan Uni's are quite a way from downtown Chiang Rai.

A long way on a motorbike, and not bad by car. After a time on the town, I would not want to drive to those places.

Best to look in the local Chiang Rai area. Even then, most likely will need at least a Motorcycle to get around.

Lots of nice apartments on the East side of the Super Highway (Asia Hwy #1).

And a few older studio rooms or apartments near the old bus station.

You will need to come and check out places of your likeing yourself.
