How Much For A New Exhaust Pipe For Mitsu Triton

Featured Replies

I reckon I am going to have to get a new exhaust fitted to my Mitsu Triton. It's the basic 2.5 diesel model. Any idea how much this should cost? Many thanks

Depends on how much of the system needs replacing... (i.e. cat, pipe, muffler-back).

Mitsu themselves are usually very cheap for spare parts, but as a guide you'd pay up to about 6000 for regualar system, and up to 15000 for a full stainless system (if not inc. catatlytic converter).

If your truck is still under warranty, you'll probably want to use genuine replacement parts though, less lose your drivetrain warranty..

There are exhaust shops all over the place who will piece in a rotted out pipe or replace a muffler. Worth an inquiry. :)

I have a 10-year old Mitsubishi G-Wagon (Strada based) and a 9 -year old Mitsubishi Strada pick-up (my work horse). Both were bought new and the G-Wagon has done 105,000 km and the pick-up 178,000 km. Both vehicles are still on their original exhaust systems and both exhaust systems are in a condition to last a few more years.

So, the Triton replaced the Strada, a few years after my purchases, and I'm wondering why your exhaust system needs replacing so early?
