Chiang Mai saloon 1 and 2 do a great juicy burger and i eat at the dukes ans saloon and have to say the quality is good at both Chiang Mai Saloon and the dukes.good luck with the new Dukes David.

For a long long time, there wasn't a decent burger to be had in Chiang Mai. Thank goodness times have changed and you can get a great burger from at least 10-15 different places now. Chiang Mai Saloon and Irish Pub deserve an honorable mention here. The more the merrier. Now let's see more burritos El Diablo style, but without having to go into the city, which is a no go area for me, most of the time.

Dave is a class act with tons of experience, there is no doubt in my mind that his Duke's burger express will be a huge success opposite the robbed SCB bank on Moon Muang Road. I won't wish you good luck Dave, because you won't need it!

Not a chance. El Diablo surprised everyone with their robust business. And the owner doesn't spend a single satang on promotion or advertising. They recently expanded because business was booming in the slow season. Won't hurt them at all.

the amount of work the army are doing between the dukes and nong hoi holiday inn junction

makes me think the army know more than they or anyone else are letting on ... beware !

That's actually the picture of Locos that will be next door to The Duke's American Burger. They will be serving TexMex, margaritas and lots off cold beer. Toward the back corner will be a Mokador coffee shop.

I forgot to add that The Duke's is just the franchisor in this location and that the whole shop house is owned and managed by 3 partners. We will be supplying the location with all of the food for The Duke's and their menu will consist of burgers, sausages and hot dogs, wings and deli sandwiches. Inside The Duke's American Burger there will also be Bud's Ice Cream.

I'm hoping they have a chicken burger or a tuna filet sandwich. I cooked a burger at home recently for the first time in 20 years, and I couldn't believe the grease that was left behind. That has put me off burgers for a while.

I introduced myself to a guy standing outside of the Dukes today who was quite helpful. He told me that the new Dukes will be open as soon as they can hire and train staff. He said the help wanted banner is for The Dukes and for Loco Elvis' Restaurant and Bar.

I'd be interested in everyone's opinions here. Open 24 hours is a pretty bold move.

cracker barrel yuk, I have a friend who likes that crap and I have joined him a few times but something they use to cook with, probably cheap oil, turns my stomach. I would rather they cooked everything in the bacon drippings, rather than some cheap oil.
