Does anyone have experience of selling a car that is only half paid for ?

We have a Chevrolet Captiva 2010 that we have paid approximately 50% of the purchase price. However I have now had to return to the UK and my wife is still in Thailand, trying to sort out the car. The finance company are not very helpful, and just say if we sell it they want 100,000 in fees

Has anyone sold are car to a dealer that is still on finance ? Any recommendations would be appreciated

One way to do it is to cash out the remaining amount to the finance company, that means your monthly amount x months left in your agreement with the finance company. In other words the finance company will still keep the interest that should have been paid monthly the coming years, even if you pay cash now, really sucks...

Or you could transfer the finance agreement to the byer, probably the best.
