Living In Chiang Rai With A Retirement Visa

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am an American and I am soon moving to Chiang Rai.

I lived in Chiang Mai 3 years now.

I have a retirement visa.

Do I have to go to Chiang Mai to the US Consulate then to Immigration once a year to renew my retirement visa?

Also, where do I go every 90 days to do my 90 day check in?

Thank You

Mae Sai immigration is only about an hour from CR...on the Burma border. Nice people and easy to deal with for 90 day reporting...buses leave CR for Mae Sai every half hour or you can drive easily on 4 lane hwy.
