Mike,

Very nice photos. We've been to many of the sites in your photos but some are new to me and I will make sure my wife takes me to them the next time we are in the country.

We bought some land around Chiang Mai but sometimes I think we would be better off living in Issan, I love the rivers in the area.

yes very nice pics.... will help me, as I go to UBON very soon.... though this time I will go by plane (couldnt resist the offering of 199 baht-tickets by airasia some months ago), even I have a car now. but better give that 14 year old Nissan-buddy a short break, after he already made it to Nongkhai and Mae Sai.... hope its easy to get around in UBON by Sawngthaew or TukTuk....

Really nice pics Mike. That's a lot of "mileage" for your car though. :D By the way, I'm kind of "slow" this morning and I don't understand the "vote thing". :o

BambinA: I was "out and about" on the motorcycle yesterday and stopped at Cheeky's place.....nobody home. :D

It's easy Ken..................................It's a *chang* thing.

1+1 is the amount of *changs one drinks. Sometimes it's two, but most of the time it's ten. You know "I'll just have one"

1

"OK just one more"

1+1

Next thing you know 1+1=10

It's called the Winery system.

Nice photos Mike. You seemed to have covered most of the places we did on our trip. Did you visit the 'White Wat'?

It's easy Ken..................................It's a *chang* thing.

Well "duh" me. I should have known that. :o

Good pics, MM.

I'm pleased to see that you haven't jumped on the band wagon by posting pictures of a horizontal Yorky.

:o

Great photos Mike. :D

Isn't Khao Phra Wihan amazing? Reith and I went there (at Lampy's suggestion - thanks mate) when we went on our Issan tour... but the weather wasn't quite so kind as it was on your trip. It's an awesome view at the pinnacle overlooking Cambodia, Laos, and of course, Thailand.

Nice composition of the "Sunset Drink" shot... good to see the Chang label faced front and centre for the camera... :D

BTW Yorky, I too haven't posted any horizontal shots... I don't have any!!! :D

But I do have a good memory... :o

I voted wrong. I voted both and that's not true. I could NEVER drink 10 big Chang beers. The correct number(s) are between 3 and 6. The just one more never works out for me and after 6 I am stumbling and as the wife says, walking like a snake.

Great photos. Thanks for taking the time!

It's binary math. Correct answer is "both".

And, yes, we did see the White Wat, but didn't make it inside.

Finally, Isaan IS a beautiful place. I don't think it gets enough credit in guidebooks and elsewhere. And, the driving is really pretty easy. You have to have the guts to pass on the two lane roads, but once you get the hang of it, it only gets really scarry about once per kilometer.

You have to remember Mike's old signature to get the correct answer. :o

And Mike, you definitely travelled at the right time of year... Isaan is so beautiful after the rains.

:D
