Home Pro In Khon Kaen

I'm looking for a couple of 110-220V transformers. The Big C in Maha Salakham and Tesco Lotus in Khon Kaen is usually "No Have" on most things but someone told me that

Home Pro carries more farang oriented items. A check of the net has a couple of sites but they jsut show a pix of the building. I suspect it is on Rt 2-Mittraprap Rd. but not 100 % sure.

Have to go to Khon Kaen next week and wanted to check it out but really only familiar with Rt 2. Anybody know location and if it might have Transformers. Thanks.

Not sure where you are but you mentioned Mahasarakham and I remember seeing a Home Pro when I was out there in January.

I found this site that gives it's location on the 23 going to Roi Et. I have to say I'm not sure of that as that's close to my gf's village and I'm sure it wasn't there. Maybe someone else will know. If that's not your area then obviously it's not any help.

Sorry forgot the link.

Don't know about Khon Kaen, but the Home Pro in Phitsanulok has them is various sizes, depending on your duty requirements. I also know that you can ORDER anything at any Home Pro that any other Home Pro carries -- that is, if you can communicate with them and you don't get some lazy asshol_e that just says "mai mi."

Depending on the wattage you need. I got a 75watt converter in the electronics shopping centre near the centre of Khon Khen. Less than ฿300.

If not home-pro, try the big Global store, or even the new Home Hub which has opened..

If your location is Mahasarakham, Global House in Kalasin might be worth checking - it is on the Mahasarakham road a few miles before you arrive in Kalasin centre. The large store on the Roi Et Road in MS is Homemart not Home Pro, and doesn't have quite as good a range. There is however a very good hardware store, with a bigger selection of pumps, machinery than is usual, just where the Roi Et road starts in Mahasarakham centre at the crossroads near the market. It is about 200 metres on the right going away from the market. Home Pro in Khon Kaen is a mile or so north of Tesco on Highway 2 (same side of the road). KK also has a Global near the airport.

P.S. It almost slipped my mind that Roi Et now also has a HomePro. It is on the road from Sarakham on the right immediately past the ring road on the edge of the city. If they don't have one, exit HomePro by turning left and then left again on to the bypass, and you will come to a big Global House store on the right after about 3 miles.

In all honesty though I am not sure I have ever seen a 220/110v transformer in Thailand. I have bought industrial type plugs in Global (for my wielder) but noticed they only carried blue - not the yellow 110v plugs and sockets we have in the UK. Don't know if the colour coding is any different in Thailand.

Apparently this is Home Mart as far as can tell.

Definitely is - I have shopped there many times. That is unless it has changed since September when I last went there. Not shown here either:

Thanks everyone for info - I found the KK Home Pro and they do carry some 220V-110V step up/down transformers. In stock was only 100W and 200 W but they also carry 500W - maybe more I don't know.

At least it was enough to get my wife's sewing machine going and a couple of other things. She is happy.
