Flexible Water Connectors

I haven't seen these connectors in Thailand, but they are common in the US, and so handy when installing a water heater. They're typically either copper or stainless steel and very flexible due to a corrugated surface. The connections on both ends are female threaded, have a rubber washer, and act as a union. Typically they're either 18" or 24" long, and 3/4" in diameter, but other sizes are available. Does anyone know if they are available in Thailand? I'm in the Phuket area, and would really like to source them here if possible. They're so handy that if they're not here already they should be (possible business opportunity?).

The usual ones here are rubber / plastic with a woven metal sheath, get them at any HomePro or similar outlet.

Available in a choice of lengths.

are you referring the connecting conduit ? just clip a link to FluidMaster webpage.

http://www.fluidmaster.com/index.asp?bhcp=1

you could find both plastic and metal versions in hardware store, HomePro and Boonthavorn.

HomePro and Boonthavorn carry better quality imported products, like those from FluidMaster. yet size variation limited.

I don't think you'll find 3/4". Flexible hoses in Thailand are only found in 1/2" as far as I have seen.

Local home water and shower heaters use only 1/2 inch dia connectors.

I'm aware of the 1/2 flex hoses that are used for hooking up faucets. I was looking for the 3/4 connectors which aren't commonly available here it seems. Some of the larger electric storage tank type hot water heaters have 3/4 inlet and outlets, and that's what I need. Since the larger flex connectors apparently aren't available I'll have to rigid plumb them in with unions. Another item I can't find here are temperature/pressure relief valves. Makes me nervous putting in an electric water heater without one.

What you seek are available but not at shops selling home products. You seek commercial supplies like at this link:

try S.Napa ( snapa.co.th ), a water project contractor / supplier. they also sell domestic/commercial water treatment appliances. their Sukhumvit retail shop is very comprehensive, and is a plumbers' place.

check with their Phuket office if a retail shop there.
