Good Day all

Due to flooding in Bkk I would like to make my first attempt at doing a 90 day report by mail. I am on a Non Imm O and have lived here for 3 years. Can you kindly tell me the following:

How soon in advance do I need to send it

What do I need to send? I assume the TM47 report form, but do I need to send only a COPY of my passport? or the original passport?

And does anyone have the correct mailing address to Immigration Chaeng Wattana?

Thank you so much in advance for any help you can provide

Cheers folks

Sorry don't know the address. But you need to send old slip the white one in passport, photo copy of passport, the page showing the last entry stamp and the one with your detail's, and form TM 47, and a stamped addressed envelope, All by registered mail. And you can send it two week's before the time's up. They will then fill out the bottom of TM47 and return it to you.

Here's the requirements and address copied from the Thai Immigration website, it's not hard to find!

  1. Copy of all passport pages (up to the latest arrival stamp in the Kingdom or latest visa stamp)
  2. Copy of arrival/departure card TM.6 (front and back)
  3. Previous notifications of staying over 90 days (if any)
  4. Completely filled in and signed notification form TM.47
  5. Envelope with 5 Baht stamp affixed and return address of foreigner for the officer in charge to send back the lower part of form TM. 47 after having received the notification. This part must be kept for reference and for future notifications of staying over 90 days.
  6. The above mentioned documents must be sent by registered mail and the receipt of the registration kept by the foreigner.
Send the mail before the renewal date 7 days to 90 DAYS REGISTRATION,
    IMMIGRATION DIVISION 1

Immigration now requires 10 Baht stamp on the return envelope instead of 5 Baht

I'm also going to give this a go this time, after a long drive and a three hour wait last time, enough is enough, though I will admit that I will be a tad worried until my form is returned.

Just one question, and I apologise in advance if I'm a bit thick, but they say all passport pages up until the last entry, do they really mean all the pages, or do they mean the last relevant pages, ie the last extension of stay and the last time I exited and returned to Thailand. My passport is almost full with my comings and goings over the last few years.

They are asking for all pages with visa and exention stamps on it, so that is what you should copy.

Mario, Immigration in Bangkok is not asking for that according to the Thai version of the instructions. They are asking for copies of "the LATEST entry stamp" and "the LATEST Permission to Stay" extension stamp. For 5-6 years (including my latest one this year in October) I have only given them the following (per their April 2009 instructions in Thai which I have roughly translated here) and have had no trouble. Here is a rough translation of those instructions:

1) Passport copy of the page with photograph, the LATEST entry stamp and the LATEST "permission to stay" stamp. In Thai, this says: สำเนาพาสปอร์ตหน้ารูปถ่าย, วันเดินทางเข้าประเทศครั้งสุดท้าย และการอนูญาตให้อยู่ใสประเทศไทยครั้งล่าสุด

2) A copy of the front and back of the T.M.6 form (departure card)

3) The current 90-day report receipt received last time from Immigration (if any)

4) The T.M. 47 form filled out

5) Enclose a self-addressed 6.5x9" envelope with a 10 Baht stamp on it

6) Put 1) through 5) into a registered mail envelope (and keep the registration receipt as proof if needed), and send it to Immigration.

If anyone wants a copy of the instructions in Thai I received let me know and I will scan it and upload it.

Thanks for clarifiying that. I know some only want the current permission to stay stamp and other offices want everything copied, but I don't keep trach of all the different requirements per office.
