Rob5060 Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 (edited) Hi I have a small preshaped concrete garden pond which has a small bored hole about 3/4" wide in it. Any ideas for the best way to seal it I guess just push concrete in it but would that be waterproof Cheers PS Excuse title I just noticed the spelling Edited December 17, 2011 by Rob5060
draftvader Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 That 3/4" hole. Was it an accident or did it come like that? If it came like that then it is probably meant for the pump system. If you need to fill it then it would be useful to know whether the pond is already in the ground or waiting to be laid. It would be easier to solve this if the pond is out of the ground.

See if you can buy some car radiator repair epoxy - that should do the job for you - just make sure the hole is clean.
Kwasaki Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Not much info but yes concrete is waterproof especially as the pond is made of it.
Rob5060 Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 Thanks for the replies concrete pushed in the hole seems to work fine Cheers
mijan24 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Thanks for the replies concrete pushed in the hole seems to work fine Cheers Just in case the method that you used needs to be helped along - recently in the DiY section I asked about concrete posta (poles) some kind poster enlightened me with : There is a simple solution and procedure for to be using Hydraulic cement and also if necessary putting in additional columns. Before you scoff Google Hydraulic Cement. Cheers.
