Work Permit Without The Company's Help

Featured Replies

There a Reuters job ad stating:

"Applicants must be legally able to work in Thailand without the company having to provide a work permit."

1. What does that mean?

2. How can I get a work permit without having the company involved? (My understanding is that the company has to apply for my work permit)

Can anybody help me?

Thanks,

Bruce

This seems like a politically correct way to say: "Applicants must be Thai!" :o

Alternatively, if you have your own company (and a WP from that company), your company can take the job as a contractor, if this acceptable by the employer.
