Clarkson Upsets India! Bbc Under Fire After Promising Top Gear Special Would Highlight Beauty Of Country… Before Screening Jeremy In His Pants

Jeremy Clarkson's 'tasteless' antics have sparked fury at the Indian High Commission, which has written to the BBC demanding they apologise for a Top Gear Christmas special.

The controversial star caused outrage with an episode set in India in which he strips to his boxer shorts in front of his hosts and hangs offensive banners on trains.

Staff at the High Commission complained that the programme was 'replete with cheap jibes, tasteless humour and lacked cultural sensitivity.'

They fired off emails and letters to the show's producer, Chris Hale - copying in BBC director general Mark Thompson - expressing 'deep disappointment' at the content of Top Gear: India Special.

LONG LIVE Mr JEREMY CLARKSON !

Loved it all.

Long live the TOP GEAR gang.

I posted a comment on the Daily Mail page too.

Insufferable pompous ass.

It would appear opinion is split.

Clarkson didn't upset the Indians half as much as did a couple of aussie ground staff having a party on the WACA pitch the night before the test match.

Upset them so much they only scored 161 today!

Anything and everything upsets the people of the sub-continent.

Never satisfied - always wanting privileged treatment.
