Cbr 250 Kanjanaburi Trip

Featured Replies

I recently took a trip up to Kanjanaburi with some friends. We stayed at Erawan National Park and did the Si Sawat Loop a couple of times. If anyone is looking for a challenging ride with incredible roads, this place is for you.

Here is a link to the route map from Erawan to Sri Sawat. In my opinion, this was the best part of the ride. http://g.co/maps/zhxk2

Nice. Good to see the pics, I've been meaning to do the Sisawat loop for a while. Looks great. Cheers.

We might do another trip at the end on February. Would you be interested in coming along?

Probably would depending on time... we're moving into a new house the 1st of March, so I'll probably be busy watching the wife buy lots and lots of crap around that time. :D

Where's the planned destination?

I did that ride on my 650R a couple of weeks ago, it's a great bit of road.

Is this mission happening? My buddy and i are interested, he said it was to be the last weekend in Feb. Are there anymore details?

cheers

We are still planning on going. We are planning on staying at or just outside Erawan National Park. So far we have more than 10 bikes going. We are going to book accommodations in the next day or two. I'll give you guys more details when we get this and the itinerary sorted. Thanks.

Brian

I did it last week and went all the way around to Bo Ploi (crap accommodation only and I do not recommend at all). Lot of leaves on the moon bay road (Si sawat curly thing) but great sticking to the centre line which was leaf free and gravel free. We got through the whole thing without an oncoming car/truck so was a blast. If you do continue on further north be aware that the roads are not that much used and loose gravel was an issue for me twice with road tires, luckily on slow stretches and she stayed up. Definitely a great ride and plan to get back out there in a few weeks but to do as you are planning and come back through the loops again. We continued on down to Chumporn, some excellent weather and riding down there also.

That is the trip where I tore up my shoulder and elbow when I hit oil on one of the hairpin corners north of Erawan. But, it was a great ride. I highly recommend it..

Sorry I didn't take many pics. Had a great time though so would like to see some more. Well done to the staff at Sumet for organizing. I think they did a pretty decent job of getting everybody there and back safely.
