Registration opens at 0800 and practice sessions will begin at 0930 The 650 Fun Race will take place at 10:30. I think it's an 8 lap race. The 650 fun race will be followed by a 1 hour Ninja 250R Endurance Race at 11:00 Then break for lunch and the KSR Endurance Races will kick off at 1pm. For any Bangkok-based riders who are keen to ride down to participate or just watch, there will be a group ride with police escort leaving Kawasaki HQ Rama 9 at 0700 on Sunday morning. Gippy Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Is there any kind of pre-registration required for the group ride or should I just show up at Rama 9 at 0630 on Sunday?
sundaypsychos Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Great stuff, Ill see you down there then Tony, I havent taken my ER6 out for months either so will be good to give it a good blast around in what is a cool, fun event! See ya down there!
BigBikeBKK Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 Is there any kind of pre-registration required for the group ride or should I just show up at Rama 9 at 0630 on Sunday? You can pre-register with Kawasaki, Thailand at 02-246 1510-6 but it's not required.
BigBikeBKK Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 Police escort? Will you guys be riding down the express way? I rather doubt it- they usually take the Bang Na - Trat road, which IMO sucks, but is probably the most direct route.
BigBikeBKK Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 I just down loaded Keith Code's video and book. interesting Keith Code's Twist of the Wrist and Twist of the Wrist II are fantastic! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pocXYyHCuw&feature=related

BigBikeBKK Posted February 10, 2012 Author Posted February 10, 2012 Headed down to Bira tomorrow (Saturday) for some practice before the racing on Sunday- I think Colin will be there too. Anyone else?
flying Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I just down loaded Keith Code's video and book. interesting Keith Code's Twist of the Wrist and Twist of the Wrist II are fantastic! Blast from the past! Read his books in the early 80's He was the first to mention you push the right handle to initiate going right not pull.... Lots of folks back then had a hard time digesting that at first.
BigBikeBKK Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 Fantastic day at BIRA today with Colin and a million little KSR's! It was my first time back at BIRA in about 6 months and it took me a couple sessions to get back into the swing of things. Struggled to get used to the D-tracker bars on my ER6n that I installed due to the rule change for the R2M Supernaked series that states you can't use clip-ons. Lots of great advice from the Flying Canadian- the fastest man on an ER6n in Thailand! Filtering through the KSR and Ninja 250 traffic I felt like I was going fast, until the Flying Canadian would blast past me as if I was standing still Great fun and I have a lot to work on to get my times down. Graham was kind enough to invite me to join him in the Ninja 250 Endurance Race tomorrow and neither of us have a clue how it works and he spent all afternoon trying to install some <deleted> rearsets from Nui Racing so I told him he goes FIRST tomorrow- if anything falls off the bike it's on him! Good to see Jonnie and Greg on their ER6n's as well. Hoping they'll join the grid for the 650 fun race tomorrow! Let the Good Times ROLL! Tony

BigBikeBKK Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 @ Mr Tony, I just noticed you have the exact same gloves as me, what are the chances of that...... i just hope i paid less than you hahahaha??? You have impeccable taste! I got these Clover Kangaroo skin GP gloves from Panda Rider at last years Bangkok Bike Festival. Can't remember what I paid, but recall it was a good deal. These gloves did a fantastic job of protecting my hands on my last crash.
