Car Hire With Driver In Chiang Rai

Featured Replies

Could anyone please recommend a car hire firm in Chiang Rai that also provides a driver?

I want to go from the centre of town to Phu Chi Fah in time for sunrise one Saturday next month and then back to Chiang Rai.

Any idea about the price?

Thanks in advance.

Most of the guest houses/hotels will arrange a car and driver.

Costs vary, work on dindongs prices but remember that if the added cost of the driver seems very cheap that he will be relying on a reasonable tip.

When we go to Chiang Mai,we use to rent a mini van whit driver.

He pick us up in the morning about 08.00 and we are normaly back around 21.00 in the evening-he stop and goes where we want, and when we want-3000 baht.

Thats very expensive, considering that most places charge between 1500 and 1800 for a VIP van including driver for a full day.

It does seem expensive, I hired a minibus from one of the tour places near the Wang Come Hotel a few years back and it was only 1500B with driver.

I'd certainly shop around before i paid 3000.

Maybe the difference is fuel?

Thai friend in BKK rented us a van a number of times at about Bt 1600-1700 including a driver, but +fuel

Of course, it arrives fuelled and and has to be returned the same way.

A return trip to Chiang Mai would certainly go close to another 1500B
