UBONRATCHATANI PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICIALS INVITE PARENTS TO BRING THEIR CHILDREN TO RECEIVE FREE VACCINATION AGAINST POLIO

Ubonratchatani (อุบลราชธานี) provincial public health officials invite parents to bring their children aged below five years old to receive vaccination against polio disease.

Provincial public health official Wuttikrai Mungmai (วุฒิไกร มุ่งหมาย) revealed that polio outbreaks have been reported in neighboring countries such as Laos and Cambodia. However, as Ubonratchatani borders both countries, there is a possibility that the disease could spread in the province. He said that to prevent the spread of the disease in the province, the Public Health office invite parents to bring their children aged below five years old to come and receive vaccinations free of charge. He also said that foreign kids aged below 10 years old can also come for the service. He said that the vaccination service is being offered at all public health facilities across the provinces.

Dr. Wuttikrai added that students will be vaccinated at educational institutes by public health volunteers, members of Rotary Club, and community leaders. He advised the people to come for the first vaccination on Wednesday, December 14th and the second shot on Wednesday January 18th.
