PS: your "asiafile" term made me choke on my coffee thanks wink.png

Haha..my pleasure :P

I am not biased against white women. Nor any other color or race. There are some really great equally spread out over the world. And a lot of bad ones. Same is true for men.

(ND try re-upping your av and you should find yourself with restored facial movement.)

Interesting thread. Amazing how some people respond so demonstrably to the use of certain expressions - especially when, in context, it should be clear that no negative connotation was implied. For my 25 satang's worth, I have found that in terms of character, there are broad differences between people of the same race, just as one can find similarities of character in people of vastly differing races (cultures). Clearly, people are, in part, a product of their environment (culture), but there seem to be underlying traits that are inherent to the human character. These can probably be suppressed to some extent by culture/environment, but people will vary in their susceptibility to such influences.

It seems (this is my way of making the point that this is my opinion/observation and not an attempted statement of fact) that Thai people may be raised to be respectful and demure, but this doesn't always hold. I would say that in many western cultures, people are yet raised to be respectful, but perhaps more independent of action and thought in their social intercourse - and, of course, this also doesn't always hold.

---

I'm all for people having opinions, but when someone makes an insistant generalised statement and then argues tooth and nail that anyone who disagrees is a moron, a misogynist or worse, I have to question that person's intellectual integrity.

If you read this and think I'm taking aim at you, then give some thought as to why you think I'm taking aim specifically at you (but I can assure you, I used a scattergun...)

You've lost me, it appears you are attempting to quote someone and reply to it but am at a total loss as to who. Since you are an experienced enough member of this forum to know how to use the quote button, that leaves me even more mystified

Okay. I thought that in the context of the overall thread, it made sense. But no, I wasn't attempting to quote anyone. I was thinking that this thread may have been better placed in the sandbox, but I would be amused to see how it would fare in General. (Closed first page, probably...)

WHY........... ?????????

My eye has stopped, it is working in , "View profile".

Any simple help much appreciated.

I have noticed some others are not animated as well, which used to work.

TYVM, in hope.

^Try re-uploading it.

Tells me that, that graphic is not allowed..........

<deleted>, I have had it for yonks.

Runs OK in that other place 'next door'.

I don't know then, Pete. There was a problem initially when George installed this new version of the board, and the solution then (once the problem was fixed) was to re-upload your av. I suggest you search/ask in the support s/f http://www.thaivisa....m-support-desk/

E: Amended shortcut

Scratch that idea...yeah you have to redo your avatar. A nuisance that was.

Here we go....oi, here we go....oi.

I remember way back when......I think even sbk was a young lady and I first uploaded my face to thai visa and the world nearly caved in, there was douchebags making complaints about my facial movements, now ur all uptight about the lack of them.

Am I allowed to write the word, 'douchebags' ? hit-the-fan.gif

Anyway, good to see you are all up to the same ole, same ole. Geeze I miss my afternoon som tum/thai visa sessions licklips.gif
