Pantang Co Ltd are to hold the 2nd Phuket motorshow at Central Phuket Festival from December 14th to 18th. The aim of the motorshow will be to stimulate the local car market during the peak end of year season. Executive Director of Pantang Co Ltd, Nattanit Nitiwirul estimated that sales figures may rise up to 100 million baht, an increase of 20 million baht on last year's show.

"We have over 20 car and motorbike dealers attending including Volvo, BMW, Land Rover, Kia, Peugeot, Toyota, Mitzubishi, Alfa Romeo, Ford, Honda, Yamaha, JRD and Kawasaki. The highlight of the show will be the cars from Ferma Motor Sport Co Ltd in Bangkok who are bringing a Ferrari and Maserati to the show.”

Stage activities will centralise around the Miss Motorshow Contest and a mini concert which will be held on December 18th, a cowboy themed night. The contest is open for woman of all ages.

"The lady who wins the Miss Motorshow Contest will receive 10,000 baht cash, a Penguin electric motorbike worth 25,000 baht, and a free photo package at Suan Luang Wedding Store valued at 19,000 baht.”

She added that vehicles using alternative energy will also be showcased with an emphasis on natural gas powered automobiles and electric motorbikes.

"The electric motorbikes will be very interesting for those who attend. Each runs at 40 kilometres an hour. It is good value for money as you pay only 4 baht to drive for 40 kilometres.”
