My TV doesn't play mp4 files which the torrent gods have switched to. What's the cheapest media player I can buy to view my downloads from a flash drive and where is it sold? Thanks!

There're very cheap dvd players with a usb port available at Big C / Tesco.

Media players start from about two thousand plus at Pantip and around China town ( under the bridge ). You can also order for as little as $24 usd ( including shipping ) from aliexpress.com.

Thanks for your well intentioned suggestions. Saying I was looking for the cheapest one was misleading. I can't stand going to Pantip or Chinatown.

What I want to do is go to a major store and buy a brand name low end media player. I went to Powerbuy but they didn't have any. Anybody know if Tesco, Emporium, Paragon etc. actually stocks and sells media players and can you recommend a brand/model?

Tesco at Rama 9 sell a few of them also it's inside Fortune Town where they sell hundreds, bit of advice try to get one where you can upgrade the firmware.

I think all big stores sell them.

Not all media players play all file types.

Best take a flash drive with samples of various formats with you to give them a test.

How much are desktops these days? Added benefit of TV through hdmi so you can clearly see who's wrong and correct them in big screen glory! :-P

EZTV and other tv sites have all started requiring mp4 format of their uploaders
