Snow for Christmas or just more rain?

PHUKET POST FESTIVE WEATHER PREDICTION

From rain to clouds to sun to wind the weather of the past few weeks has been unseasonal and unpredictable to say the least. The southern provinces of Pattani, Songkhla, Yala and Narathiwat have been hit hard by the rains with 12,000 people being evacuated from their homes. A death toll of 27 has been announced by Interior Minster Knogsak Wantana who also estimated that 400,000 people have been affected by the rains. More than 2,000 tourists have been left stranded on the southern islands as passenger boat services were stopped.

Phuket, however, has not been hit so hard by the rains and the next seven days offer some hope of clear skies and sunny weather. Tuesday through Friday are expected to offer some clouds but also some extended glimpses of sun. There is a chance of thunderstorms on Saturday, Christmas Eve, with estimated temperatures rising to 82 F. The Phuket Post can confirm that there is a possibility of rain on Sunday, Christmas Day, but hopes that with Santa Claus's help the clouds will be blown away and replaced by a high season gift of sun.

As of yet there is no prediction for snow this Christmas.

I think you can forget about a white christmas, but anything else is possible :o

With respect to the writer, but putting 'snow' and 'Christmas' in the title for a Phuket thread is a bit cheesy. More on-site reporting on how people are coping would make the article a more worthy read.
