Upcoming Us Presidential Election

Here is Daniel Greenfield with some interesting views I tend to agree with.

After 2010, the numbers were crunched, and it was clear that Obama and the Democrats could not win a mainstream campaign. Instead, they targeted narrow groups, stirred up conflicts over issues aimed at that group, whether it was union pensions, racism or birth control. There was no more pretense of a national election, only a frenzied rush to polarize as many groups as possible and join them together into an acrimonious coalition, not so much for anything, as against Republicans.

That is the most spot on analysis of the Obama campaign you'll ever read. If enough people read it Obama would be lucky to break 40% in November.

Biden's latest gaffe - telling an African American audience that Romney would "put y'all back in chains." fits right into the democrats campaign. The Republicans sometimes stretch the truth, the democrats have abandoned it completely.

And those cynical, seditious, freedom hating Marxists have the nerve to call the Republicans repugs.

That's how the Left works. All those anti-war protests you saw on TV? I went to them when I lived in Washington DC and they were a mix of many small leftists groups joining together to support each other, but promote their own pet causes while they were at it. That's why you would see interviews with protesters who didn't seem to have a clue about the issue they were protesting. They likely didn't.

Think not what you can do for your Country, think what your Country can do for you. ermm.gif Or something like that.

Sarah Palin is calling on Obama to dump Biden and replace him with Hillary! Will the Obama campaign take political advice from her? :D

No. Don't be silly.

Even though she is right for a change.

I gave the only response I ever give, which is an absolutely honest one," "Here's why Joe Biden did it. Because Joe Biden is dumb." Rudy Giuliani

I wonder how many column inches the MSM will give this gaffe, considering it is much larger than all the artificial wind they concocted about Republican candidates.

Niall Ferguson: Obama’s Gotta Go

Why does Paul Ryan scare the president so much? Because Obama has broken his promises, and it’s clear that the GOP ticket’s path to prosperity is our only hope.

Yet the question confronting the country nearly four years later is not who was the better candidate four years ago. It is whether the winner has delivered on his promises. And the sad truth is that he has not.

In his inaugural address, Obama promised “not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth.” He promised to “build the roads and bridges, the electric grids, and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together.” He promised to “restore science to its rightful place and wield technology’s wonders to raise health care’s quality and lower its cost.” And he promised to “transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age.” Unfortunately the president’s scorecard on every single one of those bold pledges is pitiful.

It is about time the mainstream media stopped buying all the lame excuses for the state of the nation. This guy has got to go!

In the long run, the Republican party would be better off if they lost this election and then ran with Ryan at the top of the ticket in 2016. If Romney wins, he probably won't turn around the economy either; might as well stand on the sideline's and let the Democrats take all heat for the fallout from the financial crisis.

I've heard that's one reason Hillary didn't want any part of the ticket. It's doom & gloom in the near future whoever wins in November.

I am honestly afraid of what Obama will to to the country with no possibility of being elected again to restrain him. Four more years of his policies could set USA back too far to recover for a very long time.

Don't be afraid. Obama loves you. You'll see.

Obama came into office with a pretty solid electoral advantage. Had he been a true radical he should have been able to force through a truly radical agenda. Just don't buy it that a Marxist takeover is imminent, it's not as if Che Guevara is in the White House.

He wasted it on a failed stimulas and Obamacare and scared the voters into voting for Republicans, otherwise, who knows what he might wacky policies he might have passed.

Maybe, but I think that he's weak and ineffective. Reagan was able to push through legislation even with the Democrats controlled both houses but the conventional wisdom now is that without 61 votes in the Senate it's not Obama's fault if nothing gets passed. What you have is a president who was born without a spine, not a president who is able to push through big & scary changes. Given 4 more years, we will just get 4 more years of stagnation.

Labor Department spends stimulus funds for ads during Olbermann, Maddow shows

By Jim McElhatton-The Washington Times Tuesday, August 21, 2012

The Labor Department paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal stimulus funds to a public relations firm to run more than 100 commercials touting the Obama administration’s “green training” job efforts on two MSNBC cable shows, records show.

The commercials ran on MSNBC on shows hosted by Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann in 2009, but the contract didn’t report any jobs created, according to records reviewed recently by The Washington Times.

Spending reports under the federal Recovery Act show $495,000 paid to McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations LLC, which the Labor Department hired to raise awareness “among employers and influencers about the [Job Corps] program’s existing and new training initiatives in high growth and environmentally friendly career areas” as well as spreading the word to prospective Job Corps enrollees.

The hits just keep on coming against Democratic claims of transparency.

Democrats won’t disclose donors to Charlotte convention until after the event

By T.W. Farnam, Published: August 21

Democratic Party officials say they will not release the names of donors to next month’s political convention before the event, despite an earlier pledge that they would regularly disclose the contributors.

In its marketing materials, the party promises that the “people’s convention,” set to begin Sept. 3 in Charlotte, will be the “most open and accessible ever.” But the names of donors, some of whom are giving up to $100,000, will remain secret until federal disclosure documents are filed Oct. 15, six weeks after the festivities have ended, when public attention will have shifted to Election Day.

Democrats have made transparency a central theme of the campaign, pushing for legislation requiring groups to disclose donors. In a recent e-mail to supporters, President Obama’s campaign manager, Jim Messina, asked for signatures on a petition calling for conservative interest groups to reveal the names of contributors.

They aren't very transparent. You win that one.

Where are the Romney tax returns?

Romney has provided what he is obligated to do legally, just like Obama and his college transcripts.

Not good enough.

It's been good enough to derail the thought processes of a few voters from Obama's failed administration.

That, after all, is the main goal. Divide and conquer.

The goal is to beat the rich man whose entire agenda is to favor the rich only. Duh.

Not good enough for democrats who are looking for any issue at all to distract from Obama's miserable failed record.

This isn't a hope election. This is a choice of which side is worse. Obama's base thinks Romney is MUCH worse. Obama's base is not budging. If you think this is an easy win for Romney. you're in for a shock.

Are democrats running a rude election? You betcha! We learned from republicans. We are going to Swift boat your you know what!

I do not think it will be an easy win. As usual the media back the democrat and they hardly even try to pretend otherwise. In fact several liberal journalists have recently come out and admitted the bias.

However, the economy is getting (even) worse and gas prices are rising. Hopefully the American people have had enough of this failure.

As far as dishonesty and hypocrisy, the democrats did not need any lessons.
