Romney was talking about the 47% that do not pay federal income tax and he may have a point.

There maybe a a correlation but he made it sound like their was 1:1 realtionship between not paying federal income taxes and voting for Obama. And if it isn't a 1:1 realtionship then it's a damaging quote, he can't afford to write off the support of that many voters.

He does have a point. The people for whom free handouts are the top priority will always vote for the party which enables them to remain poor - the Democrats. So I understand Romney's attitude and I'm sure Obama feels the same way about white people who "cling to their guns and religion". That being said, Romney wants to be president and it is the job of the president to care about ALL Americans - even the ones who don't vote for you or hate you. Obama would do well to remember that as well.

Seriously, I read an interview with Obama back from 2008-2009. He seemed proud of the fact that his grandmother lived in a dirt-floor hut in an AIDS-infested village in Kenya. I was just wondering why he never did anything to get her better living conditions?

Well, US embassies throughout the Muslim world under attack,, Obama coming out looking weak and apologetic in the eyes of the world while fundraising in Vegas and a scandal brewing with ignoring warnings and lying to the public about the cause, etc...SOMETHING was needed to distract the voter. They were probably hoping to use this quote as an "October Surprise". For them to release it early is a sure sign they know this week has been a disaster for them - as well as the country.

As he said, and is highlighted in red above, this 47% is locked in to Obama and Romney should not worry about these people. Their votes cannot be changed.

80 million hours needed to tackle Obamacare tax rules

Based on Internal Revenue Service figures, the House Committee on Ways and Means has compiled an estimate of the total amount of hours it will take to comply with the tax rules. The bottom line: 79,229,503 hours, most of which will fall on small businesses.

For fun, the committee gave a comparative example.

"So, what can be done in 79,229,503 hours? The Empire State building, which took 7 million man-hours to build, could be constructed 11 times. The Curiosity Lander could travel from Earth to Mars 13,048 times. Halley's comet, seen from Earth once every 76 years, could be spotted 119 times."

The committee said that Obamacare has resulted in thousands of pages in IRS and Treasury rules including 17 regulations, 5 revenue procedures, 2 revenue rulings, and 14 Treasury decisions.

"Given the enormous impact the regulations will have on job creators, it is no wonder that a recent survey found that over 70 percent of small businesses cite the health care law as a major obstacle to job creation," said the panel headed by Rep. David Camp.

Do people think that he is black? Obama barely knew his father and was raised by a white, middle class family. His skin is dark, but he is culturally caucasian. His far-left ideology that he dishonestly hid to get elected is why I have come to loathe him.

At the very least, basing an election campaign almost exclusively on the other guy being bad doesn't seem like a good idea to me though it could come into play should Romney win. In the run up to the following election the Democrate's couldn't say he didn't do what he said he would because he didn't say he was going to do anything to start with. However, the Republican's could not say he had done a good job because they too would not have a frame of reference. So Romney gets chucked to the side and the next President finds he or she has to lease the while house from Bain because Romney wiped out state housing at every level.

This last statement is a blatant lie. F & F was begun under the Obama administration. Bush had a similar program with some not-so-minor differences.

1. Bush's program did not simply let the weapons drift into never-never land like F & F. They were followed and traced to end users.

2. Bush coordinated his program with the Mexican government. Obama's was strictly within his administration.

3. Bush called his program "Operation Wide Receiver".

4. Bush stopped the operation in 2007. Eric Holder stopped F & F, but not when he learned of it.

5. Some indictments and convictions resulted after Wide Receiver by the Obama administration. None have occurred under F & F.

Other than those simple problems, I guess you could say Obama was speaking the truth when he addressed F & F.
