Trials And Tribulations Of Living In Thailand.....

Featured Replies

Just read this in NZHerald today........

Thailand has become one of the most dangerous travel destinations for New Zealanders.

Ten Kiwis were killed and 19 seriously injured there last year.

Only Australia and the United Kingdom had more fatalities.

Travel experts blamed Thailand's relaxed drink-drive laws, chaotic roads and a party atmosphere.

So they don't blame the lack of personal responsibility? ie the laws may be lax but surely these people know WHY you don't drink and drive or party til you die?

The worst part about Thailand is not being there.

As I said elsewhere this week to people whinging about Songkran.... "I WANT TO BE THERE!!!"

drunk driving and drunken parties? that ain't nothin'...what about when yer wife of 12 years goes ape shit crazy and screaming about stuff that you don't understand and you can't take the stress because you got hypertension and diabetes and you must protect the kids and don't know if yer comin' or goin'...and, the money is gettin' low and yer previous employers want ye to step back into a shitehole that ye were barely able to extricate yerself from before it killed ye and other prospects don't exist and you want to get under the covers and hide but the AC in the bedroom quit workin'?...

a 'party atmosphere' and drunk driving falangs are the least of my worries...just draw the curtains, turn on the AC and give me my duvet...

Maybe if you kept your lecherous eyes off of Vietnamese school girls and little brown boobs and tight jeans in the market you wouldn't get yelled at so much Tutsi.

555 Scea. (And thanks - my response to you is my re-enactment of achieving 5,000 posts. Good to be able to do it with a laugh!)

I never did nothin' wrong; what's wrong with just lookin'?...you guys are unfair...

oh, persecution to the right and persecution to the left...but tutsi shall prevail!...if only to be alone with local vodka in a squalid hotel room somewhere in SE Asia...

A likely story.....

quite likely...indeed...and the little niece won't be able to be there to help her uncle tutsi...

I might change my avatar just to annoy sbk.

The resulting carnage would add a degree of realism to a thread where we are expected to picture tutsi alone in a squalid hotel room drinking cheap booze.

Ha ha!!

A few years ago I could almost have posted photos

Exactly....you are dead for a long time...so enjoy it while it lasts.
