Can any one shed some light on what path i should go down in regards to protecting my g/f for medical/accident whilst she is in australia with me.

Should i just take out travel insurance for the 3 months and does this cover visits to doctors or is there a medicare policy i can take out ?not sure what the deal is with this one,any sugestions appreciated

Cheers,Hutchy...

No medicare policy available for non residents...you could take out travel insurance if you want to but would need to check what claims can be made.

There are a number of on-line insurers with whom you can obtain travel insurance for your Thai g/f.

I'm sure that each of them would have an excess amount written into their policy, so it wouldn't be worthwhile claiming a visit to a doctor, but in case of a major accident it would be worthwhile.

Check the link below for an on-line quote as a guide to costs.
