Shaktam

I've ridden bikes all my life, current rides are a BMW R100rs and a KTM 525exc.

worked in the industry here in Brisbane, in the 80's.

Owned maybe 15 different roadbikes in my life.

I am a big bloke 6'1 and 110KG's, and I really felt the PCX was a huge step up, particularly when riding 2 up.

Felt it was more stable, more comfortable seat, more power, and the build quality was better.

If I was buying a scooter in Thailand, I think I would look hard at that, if it was in my budget.

ShanePashen, I have had test on the Pcx and have to admit it did feel like a better al round bike, better build etc, only problem I found is that the one I hired lacked acceleration down low as opposed to the elegance which I thought was a bit quicker off the mark. Going to test run a few today so I'll see if it was just the one I hired. Also I'm a pretty small bloke 73kg worth and the misses weighs about the same as my stubby.

An elegance is superior to a wave for sure, even the cvt system is a step up in technology from a chain that needs forever adjusted, a cvt belt cannot stretch and needs replacing about every 24,000km for around 400Thb

Tires are the same cost for both,a few hundred thb so don't listen to some of the rubbish here about elegance tires costing more because they don't

Just back from the dealerships around Pattaya and found that the new Nouvo 2012 model has dropped to a 125cc. Not to sure why they have done it but does anyone know anything about the new Nouvo's?

Following on from above ... http://www.thaivisa....looks-like-new/

A few bikes that might be worth looking at.

If it's an ex-pat returning home, you might even get a helmet thrown in for free!

which one are you selling ? smile.png

Oh wana ... you big goof ... some of us just want to help ... sad.png

Actually I'm in Australia and the only purchases that I have ever made in Thailand are a couple of Tallies of Leo/Chang Singa etc.

But since you are asking I used to be a motorcycle courier in London and have owned bikes for the past 20 years and currently have a GSX 750.

But the most fun I had recently was hiring a Scoopy on Koh Sichang and scooting around with the GF on the back.

I did not realize bikes were so expensive in the UK, the Honda Spacy is £1800.(B90,000)

Is the model in Thailand 110 or 125, I can only see it as as 110 on search's

If you believe the (verbal) log book ... very few apparently.

But I suppose that that's worth the paper it's written on ... but I'm a trusting soul ... rolleyes.gif

Factual evidence showed a few kilometres on the clock, so one has to assume a few test drives, but the plastic was still on the seat, so definitely evidence of careful (and thrifty) previous owners!

But enough idle banter about the chassis and back to the best all round scooter please ...

I thought obvious, double entendre humour died out with Benny Hill. Or, perhaps I just wish it had...

F1fanatic ... I hope the light hearted banter cause no serious offence?

Apologies if you are more then say 10% offended and I promise to be more mindful in the future of the diverse audience we have here.

Sorry ... please feel free click 'like this' if the appropriate amount grovelling has been displayed and the apology (at least partly) accepted.
