Hi all, hope somebody can help.

I currently live and work in Bangkok and have a work permit for my present position. My colleague and I want to buy a small guest house to have as a second business. My wife will set up the new business, my colleague and I will be the 49%.

My question is, is that allowed? Am i allowed to be employed by one company and have my name attached to another?

Any advice would be great.

Yes, you can have a work permit with one company and still be involved in business in another one. If you wish to have a work permit for the second company you will need to obtain a letter from your current employer on letterhead and the second work permit will be added into the back of your current one.
