Tourism Minister Eyeing To Turn Chiang Mai Into A New Ground For Formula 1 Race

Featured Replies

What the man meant was that he or some family members fancied a European f1 fact finding trip, first class on TG, suites at the right hotels and sufficient consultancy fees paid to support the mrs to go shopping in style next year all at the taxpayers expense

Perhaps he has a nephew who like playing with toy race cars. Give the man a break. True Thai family values.

the Formula-1 face project

There's that face thing again.

Hopefully the F1 governing body will only laugh at the idea, knowing that Thai safety standards are basically non-existent.

I have a mental picture of a diesel generator behind the pits with a long line of extension cables all plugged into one socket and each pit having an extension hanging thru the back window at about waist height.

The F1 boys would be the only ones stopping at any red lights!!tongue.png

And all the traffic not allowed on the roads so that the ambulances could get a straight run to the hospital if there is an unfortunate incidence.

The authorities here should make much more use of Ratachapruek (Royal Flora) an amazing venue that is drastically underused and under promoted.

Forget anything F1 related, never happen.

Now a casino in Chinag Mai province! That would make much more sense but probably too many fingers in the potential pie to get that off the ground anytime soon.
