Is there a size of screen on flat screen tv's where you start to lose the HD? Not talking about plazma screens just the usual type.

Yes a 300 inch monster.

TV's use HD 1360x768 or Full HD 1920x1080 from 26" to 70". The words HD are marketing..

Being classed by some as a "technical dinosaur" my question was based on the old idea of lines, 625 seems to pop into my head, where a large tv made it quite possible to actually see the lines in some cases. I was just wondering what point that effect started with dots, I presume, on flat tv's.

Ref the other post on HD being marketing many of the demos you can watch are recordings with very slow color or movement changes which makes the whole picture very bright and clear. Whole different ball game when you run the tv stations.

Digging around I found this chart, hope I can load it

Cheers
