They got you......I only paid 500 baht for the year....... Who got who, i wonder... have you tried to use your card yet? hehe No, not going to. Will keep it as a souvenir. Like the elite card? How can anyone honestly take Thailand seriously as a country when it so puts it in your face that parts of its supposedly clean cut image is so dirty. They never took Thailand Seriously any ways. Checkpoints manned by Sgt Nop the silent cop - that would free up a lot of officers nwho could then go out and do real police work, like closing bars for showing, or clearing Beach Road of freelance hookers. All drivers carrying passengers have to purchase a monthly card from the Bib which they need to show at any checkpoint. If they don't have it, and they are carrying Farangs, they are fined. Every minivan, limousine, taxi and black taxi needs to pay the card or he will end up paying more if he is stopped. It has been in operation for years ..... Apparently, if you have more than 28psi pressure in your front tires, you will be fined. The same is true for traveling with rabbits in the car at a speed lower than 40km/h.
