POLICE APPREHENDED 50 CLASSIC CARS ENTHUSIASTS WHO ALLEGEDLY HAVE BEEN LURING AWAY ATTRACTIVE WOMEN

Police have apprehended 50 people in a classic cars group after they received reports from parents of a girl that the group had lured their daughter away.

The classic vehicles enthusiasts group, known as "Nonthaburi Family Club", were brought for questioning by police after they were arrested in Saraburi late last night.

The arrest came in result of filing by parents of a 17-year-old girl who dissapeared after being lured by the gang on January 14th. Police found that the gang is known for riding along the streets of Bangkok and the vicinity during nighttime, and would woo good-looking women they find along the way to take them along.

4 out of the 50 people tested positive for drugs, while the rest have had their histories booked before being released.

I must say, this opened up sounding like it was a joke! But it's actually quite disturbing. Is it true or some kind of urban myth?

It would make for a fun sight in Nonthaburi :D

A good reason to ask for ID when picking up skanks at the side of the street... :o

Any pictures of the "classic" cars

This is a good point. In the UK, I have what are considered to be classics, a 30 year old Saab v4 and a 40 year old Volvo Amazon. However, 'old' cars in Thailand are (I thought) just old cars. So what cars are we talking about - anyone got a classic?
