BREAKING NEWS Four journalists among 15 dead in Israeli strike on hospital
Hundreds of Kenyans took to the streets of Nairobi to show solidarity with Palestinians caught in the war in Gaza. Motorbike riders and drivers circled the capital waving Palestinian flags, chanting “Free, free Palestine.” Protesters denounced the scale of the humanitarian crisis. Activist Shakira Wafula said: “The genocide in Palestine has to stop. Children are dying, women are suffering. They are bombing hospitals and residential areas. And Israel basically wants to extinguish the existence of Palestinians.” Others drew parallels between Gaza and Africa’s colonial past. Nabil Mohamed told the crowd: “What we can see happening in Gaza right now and what happened in Africa is basically the same because they are going through occupation. We went through colonization. We share the same colonial masters and we can't just sit back and watch what is happening there, the mass murders, the genocide, the starvation and killing of innocent children and women.” Kenyans rally in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza -

People stuck in the past using ancient Windows computers
Not sure if I understood this correctly. With open office you can open ANY kind of Windows sheet, regardless if it's a Win95, XP or whatever document. You also have then the same possibiltity to store any document in any kind of version. Of course it suggests the ".odt" format. But you can choose again whithout any issues in what kind of format or version you would like to have it and keep the exact same format that others can use too. As it's an open source sw, you can give it a try, costs you nothing except the installation time. AND the layout is old fashioned like windows 95 or XP. But as most of us grew up with all these different versions - no problem. I don't pay 100bucks to MS or Apple that they allow me to use something that shouldn't cost anything. -

Ukraine Zelensky vows to continue fighting as Ukraine marks independence
2014: If Ukrainian ultranationalists hadn't signed on to the CIA-instigated coup Ukraine would have lost not an inch of territory. At that time all Russia wanted was continued lease on their Sevastopol naval base. Once they saw who was running the country post-coup, Russia took Crimea. They didn't want to lose their base. 2022: If Zelensky had put Ukraine first, not Nato promises, and signed off on the Istanbul accords, only Crimea would have had returned to Russia, nothing more. After the war started 4 oblasts were taken by Russia. 2024: June 14 Putin laid out conditions for peace, rejected by Nato-US. If there had been negotiations then Ukraine could have limited its territorial losses to the 4 oblasts plus Crimea. Now: Ukraine will lose everything east of the Dniepr, which will be a border of the new Little Ukraine, and it will lose Odesa and a land corridor to Transnistria. Moral of the story: When a superpower says get your dirty nose out of my backyard and take Nato with you, listen. -
