Yingluck Promises European Parliament To Create Harmony In Thailand

Featured Replies

"On the economic front, the Premier told the MEPs that Thailand is willing to be an investment base in Asean for European investors."

Sounds like Thailand is doing European investors a big, big favour by graciously allowing them to bring their money into the country. Shouldn't it be the other way round? I mean, shouldn't Thailand be grateful towards European investors for considering Thailand as an investment base?

Perhaps I'm reading to much into this, but I find it a quite arrogant statement.

I think you've read it right. Thailand will graciously allow the Europeans to invest in their thriving economy and bring money into the country. Getting any ROI or money out of the country was not discussed.

I very much doubt if any of these visitors took anything that she said seriously. They probably nodded, agreed, then scurried back to the Sheraton Grand for a seafood buffet before a chauffeur driven tour of several upmarket whore houses, celebrating their time away from the drudgery of Europe... Like the rest of us, but more so.

Yes, and all paid for by the good old EU taxpayer.

Supporting the European economy with cheap rice and brides!

Don't forget shrimp for A-380's.

The EU Parliament = a bunch of freeloaders rejected by their own countries and now living it up big time with their snouts in the trough. Those 100% Socialists, the Kinnocks, are now both multi millionaires. The delegation must have felt really at home talking with Yingluck and her gang. I suspect that all the good that came out of the visit is that some of the delegation now know that Thailand exists and the brighter ones might even be able to point it out on an atlas.

It's sing-a-long-a-Yingluck time ... "I'd like to buy the World a Coke ..." rolleyes.gif

you're dating yourself, Ricardo..... giggle.gif

Yingluck was 4 when this came out... but it's a perfect match for what she's trying to sell.... thumbsup.gif

You are right, the American reality, makes you fat and eventually kills you.

The way to go...............

I agree, Michael Foot would have been a far more honest PM.

Some would have not liked his honesty though, but what has politics do to with honesty.................

Pity that you think that those in Europe, who run the place, cannot read a map.

We are truly doomed if you are correct.
