I wonder if your brother had this one too Balo. the LSD number (not that your brother would dream of such connotations) lol.

always loved this one by Argent

It was a great favourite in the discos at the time, all the guys trying to do their best Mick Jagger impersonations, pumping one fist in the air!

Alan and Georgie doing one of their many duets , seems like they were never off the telly in those days !
Of course, having a regular spot on Morecambe and Wise never hurt anyone’s career [emoji51]

I remember Georgie Fame. Alan Price was great, wasn't he? A passing era.

They were both great !
A firm favourite on the telly in the seventies despite that hair and those sideburns !!

A rare performance on TOTP 1977

Talking about one hit wonders, this is one of the great ones, 1976. British band,  who would have thought ?

A classic one hit wonder, written by Pete Townsend I believe.

Not Pete Townsend but Speedy Keen  according to Wikipedia.  Interesting story about the band how they were discovered by Pete Townsend and also the young Jimmy McCulloch , he was a great guitarist but died of a heroin overdose in 79.   They have all passed away .

Thanks for the correction balo.

Ronnie Lane. Loved his album with Pete Townsend.

22 replies to a topic and 20 of them are your own ? pointless, and for those of us with less than fast internet connections here in Thailand all those You Tube clips cause bl**dy havoc.

Works for me as there's a bunch of good tunes posted.

My "rescue song" yesterday on the way back from Cambodia after the engine got overheated, etc..bla, bla..

Maybe if you stayed here long enough you might remember this one. Very catchy indeed.

I think Brian is telling us it's okay to be poor in this song. At least he seems to be saying the rich are empty spiritually. Being poor I'll go along with that.
