What About The Tunnel At Central Pattaya?

Featured Replies

Some months ago, City Hall announced their plan to dig a tunnel in Sukhumvit Road, between South Pattaya Road and North Pattaya, which would release the traffic at the Central Pattaya junction.

The plan was to start building this October.

More news? Will it happen?

We will find out in October then - at the peak of the rainy season!!

  • It will happen. All the personalities have been booked for the official opening. Songkran 2039

What About The Tunnel At Central Pattaya

Noi or Lek?

Should happen about the same time Pattaya gets a sky train.

Yeah, I remember that. That was the one where they were going to have a u-turn half way along the tunnel.

Wasn't that one of Ittipols election hot air balloons ?

Just make an elevated highway in the middle BKK-style. Those they can make here. As for tunnels, the only one I've driven through is the 0ne in Khon Kaen and it took them what, 3y to build it ?

I really see no sense in a tunnel, A Bangkok style overpass as suggested by previous poster would be perfect, or perhaps the mayor has no friends who build them.

But anything to stop those selfish B_stards using 4 southbound lanes to turn down Pattaya Klang would be great thanks!
