Hi

Malaysia and Thailand are both ASEAN countries so I think that she should be OK. It will either be no visa or visa on arrival (in which case there may be a charge). Length of stay will be limited - typically 1 month but not sure for Thais entering Malaysia.

You could check on the Malaysia Immigration web site ( www.imi.gov.my ) but it doesn't seem to be working properly today.

Took my Thai g/f last July, no problem, she got a 1 month visa on arrival.

I don't blame her. No problem at all. She will receive an entry stamp at the border. Be sure to take a samlar ride around the city early in the evening. Really pleasant with all the large and old trees and colonial buildings.

thanks everybody for your replies. its greatly appreciated, looks like there's no visa requirement and 30 days on arrival for thai citizens. we're only staying 3-4 days anyways so it should be ok :o
