2 unhappy people, 1 dead man...tragic story!

Sure it happens elsewhere.

I know a lot of girls in my homecountry, who have 3 or 4 boyfriends, takin' terms in helping her out, finacially!

RIP the lawyer!

I wish they would check their facts. They stated that the Canadian's name was "Macos Beyond" which is obviously incorrect, his I.D. states clearly that his name is Marcoux Benoit from Montreal. The house is in Khlong Sam Wa which is just above Miniburi, East of Bangkok, not Khlong Sarmwa.

The biggest way to hurt a Thai girl is of course to cut off the money so she would have to get off her ass / back and find a new mug to sponsor her.

Doesn't work that well, as soon there is house and land in her name.

What we not know, now.

But how many Farangs buying a house, to live with the gf/wife in, via a Thai Bank in S-Pore, so that the Bank is the 70% Thai, and not the gf?

In case you live together with the Thai wife of a Thai men, the Thai men has the legal right, to ask for compensation

That law works regardless of your nationality. I sued a Thai guy who slept with my Thai ex-wife (not ex at the time). I won my case AND got my damages paid.....

"Initially, the police restrained Mr. Macos and charged him in an accusation of killing another person intentionally, and then brought him to the police station to do the master plan of confessing and put him into jail."

Who writes that stuff???

I wonder if the Thai authorities will treat it the same way they treat cases where farangs are murdered by Thais?

In those cases, often the victim is blamed for their own murder, or it is classed as a suicide, or the case remains unsolved due to "lack of interest" (even if western governments and relatives of the victim are still interested).

Also, what happened to the use of 'alleged' in the news story? If it was a Thai, alleged would be used e.g. the rapist of the daughter of the father that made that music video.

The man who killed him was identified as Mr. Macos Beyond, age 42, a Canadian engineer.

Stabbed the guy 50 times,.. thats an awful lot of built up rage going on there,.. almost "beyond" belief!

The man was simply "beyond" himself with sorrow...Wonder whether that will stand up in court.

A clue about what? that she had a boyfriend? (not a husband they weren't married)

I know the Anglo-saxon Tabloids makes out having an affair is a crime these days but it's part of life, he should have been grateful he caught her before they were married and walked away. The ONLY reason he killed him is lose of face, the very same reason many ridicule the Thais for.

That is your best post of the thread ?!?

I know you are flaming and I'll ignore that part but please join the real world and digest what Mel has written,,,if possible. If you have any common decency and common sense you will have to agree.

Well no one shoud be killed over something like this as it is a quite common occurance in the LOS but if anyone had to get diciplined the wrong person got it. Can't blame the Thai guy in my opinion. I feel sorry for the Canadian guy that he let his emotions get the best of him but i certainly understand.

Gotta love it. "Can't blame the Thai guy" who was in another man's house bangin' the dude's girl... clap2.gif

How many of you here have never banged some guys girl, how many of you have asked a girl you met who wanted to spend the night if she had a boyfriend or would even care if she had either a boyfriend or a husband?

You're sick! You're really really sick! You are distgusting!

Meanwhile, Ms. Patcharaporn was studying for a masters degree at Ramkhamhaeng University, where she became acquainted with the Thai lawyer.

Where does this leave all of those members who bang on and on about having girls with Master's degrees being so much better than those evil bar girls....?

Well my friend get ready for all kinds of verbal abouse but I certainly agree with you.

Ah right, so every bird with a masters degree is a slag now? Put ya head back in the sand.

I've got nothing against bargirls, they serve a purpose but the words bargirl and slag are a little more closely related, considering being a complete slag is the #1 trait of their chosen profession, don't ya think?

Yes, Frank, but at least they would be honest "slags", as opposed to the lying, cheating mock hi-so "slags" waving their worthless degrees about. Your choice of the words "bird" and "slag" says much for your respect for the fairer sex.smile.png

Absolutely all you have to do is add High Class and you end up with one and the same thing.... I have yet to meet a Thai woman who when you ask her if she has a boyfriend says YES at least without some measure of contemplation! Education does not alter the basic structure of Thai society and one fact they can not cope with is that for every man or woman who plays away from home there is an opposing team to play with... A man who becomes complacent here no matter how clever he is ... Is a fool! A new clean conscience is as cheap as an amulet...

Loss of face would be one hypothesis, but maybe there's something about the French-Canadian culture and/or his relationship with the GF that made her infidelity particularly inciting? Maybe he really had it in for lawyers and finding one with his GF put him over the top? The article said they had been together for 6 years. Maybe he hadn't been exposed to the concept of 'sunk costs'.

There is no "common law" marriage in Thailand. Get your fact straights.

If you are "glad" somebody died over an unmarried woman having an affair and call that "clean living" maybe you should move, some groups in the Middle east are still recruiting ::2 cents::

Your damages, how many nights with a pro was that, then? giggle.gif

And thanks, I never heart about prove, that it works for Farang males, too.

But the lady has to be a Thai, right?

Or would it be the same with the 'average' Russian hooker, working on order for her pimp, eh, husband?

That would explain a lot, to me! Na, I think, you need to be married to a Thai woman.

But it isn't going the other way round, isn't it? I mean, Thai Lady sues Gig of husband? Na, for sure not. Law made by man for man, not by/for woman!

What a tragedy, your life now turned upside down over jealousy, a fit of rage at the spur of the moment, the rest of your life in a Thai prison and for what?? A wife that was unfaithful and you killed because of that...Now she has your house ,the car and probably access to your Bank Account and the bonus of course...a new boyfriend to move in with her...C'est la vie..

Poor sod, to be honest. It's all ok for the long lived here to say 'what a w_anker, should have known better', but he obviously didn't spend too much time here, and thought she, as an elder, was not like the youngsters.

He supplied a lovely home, worked his ass off for obviously what he thought was a faithful relationship, and decided to surprise his missus.

I'm glad he killed him, in rage. Too much of this s_hit going on for the first innocents who arrive here, and too many bitches get away with it.

He won't get a long sentence, if one at all. He'll cough up some dough and be exported, hopefully with a lesson learned FMEA plan filled, and never come back - but go to a more honest place where women are "generally" more honest than Thai women looking for a quick buck.

As for the question about having a Masters' degree - it's irrelevent. The woman in is question, her honesty; and not her qualifications.

Good luck to the man, in my opinion. Glad to see another bent lawyer go!!!!!!

-mel.

Death for cheaters. Now let's go around Pattaya and kill all the unfaithful Farangs...blink.png

You need your head checked.

No I don't. I live a clean life, that's all!

If you live in a community where you think everybody is unfaithful, good for you. Enjoy your own style and go bashing others, if that's your gig.

Fortunately, it aint for me!!

-mel.

A clean life were you are "glad' somebody was killed.rolleyes.gif I think I know the kind ...

Yep it is called removing the pond scum from the gene pool. Pond scum as in "I don't care if you have a husband/bf he is not in Thailand so who cares. Let's get it on".

By Western standards a "temple" wedding would be a common law marriage.
