Digital Movies Off Old Super 8 Film

I brought 6 big rolls of old super 8 film to Thailand with me recently in hopes of having them converted to digital. I just got the first one back and I am thrilled. The film is over 35 years old and as can be expected, not the best quality. But, watching myself as a baby climbing in an out of my crib is priceless. I only got one roll done because I wanted to see how it came out, but now I'll do the rest. They are nowhere near as good as modern day video, but it sure beats having them stored on some shelf never to be seen again. My sister in England will love them as well when I send her a copy. They aren't cheap at 2000 baht per 17 cm roll of film, but it's worth it to me. I got them done at the Pantip plaza in Chiang Mai, but I'm sure there are places in Bangkok as well.

At least one shop upstairs at Future Park Rangsit does them, too.

Got one short clip of my college graduation and pinning of my ROTC 2nd LT bars, parents, one grandmother, aunt and uncle, and cousin. Only ones remaining are me and my sister. Time marches on.....
