Hi guys,

We are currently still lokking for some talented ball players to join out team "Stamtec" in the BISL (Bangkok International Softball League)

Anybody who is ready to swing some serious bat or dive for some line drives could be contacting me Dirk Brijs 015754528 so i could give you more details on how to try out for the team.

Also for the not so serious players but just people want to have some fun afternoon out for some sunday ball in the park is welcome to join us at the fields of Thana City as we do play every sunday a series of pick up softball there. The games are great fun and are played in a very relaxed atmosphere. The games are organised by a group of local Taiwanese who in case you didnt bring any equipment with you will provide you with everything needed. All typse of players and all types of nationalioties are welcome to join. The games will be played every sunday afternioon and start at 2pm.

Thana City is located on your left side driving towards Trat on the Bagne-Trat highway about 4km out of Bagna past CENTRAL. You cant miss it as you will be seeing the huge yellow letters stating THANA CITY on your left hand side.

While my "glory" days are long past, I did play in the BISL for several years when I first came to Thailand. If anyone is sitting on the fencepost on this, don't. I am glad I didn't as it turned out to be a great way to meet people outside of the work (and bar) environment. I had a blast and still see some of the guys I played against as well as old teamates. What is nice is that you don't have to be a pro player to play in this league, its slow pitch with 10 on each side.

As for the pick up games on sudays it is definatly not far out of town. When going at Bagna get on the Bagne-Trat road at the ground level and go about 4km then you see some massive Yellow letters on your left hand side stating Thana City just drive into the complex and you will see alot of people around there playing ball.

Just call the number on my previous post for more info or go there and ask for Henry or Frank. Tell them you have been send by Dirk they will take care of you.

As for the league games all games are played at the Polo fileds of the Royal Bangkok Sportsclub. And during weekdays at International School bangkok. If interested in those please call me for mote info as you will have to try out before entering the teams roster.

Super old post but can’t seem to find anything about current pick up games in bkk area. Anybody got any info on that? Thanks
