My first walk down to the beach in over a month, today..... so hot today too, 35c + I was not there for long!

I found DAL's infamous yellow red and green boat today, hiding in a cove....

Not sure what they're digging for, but everyone's at it...

I am sure ir would be baby clams Jetset.... see them doing it here on Samui, every evening....or as the tide goes down, hours spent doing it too...

Ah yes - "clams". Wasn't sure if it was snails or worms. They call them "shells" when speaking English, I believe.

(Have to be careful how - or when - you say "hoi" in Thai - context is everything! )

I spent the later part of this afternoon, watching "hoi" pickers... but except for mother became a sand castle building competition...

" Hoi" I can't imagine what else it means other than clams, or snails... have I missed something? .... perhaps don't answer that....

about an hours digging...

after about 5.30 many pickers on the beach...
