Visited the zoo this morning. There's a monorail under construction. Don't know if it's part of the mega projects or if it's just to view the animals. Seems abit over the top if the latter. Must be costing a fortune, & going by the number of visitors this morning, a complete waste of money. We went in by the back route from Suthep Rd & no one to collect any money :o

Haven't been there myself but as gathered from this forum, that monorail is just to view the animals and the money isn't wasted - they end up in the pockets of a bunch of big guys.

I did hear from one of the Night Safari's directors the other day. He said that he was extremely worried about the future of the park as he caught one of the animal handlers painting one of the elephants from a large can of white paint. :o
